What a way with words that you have.
From my kitchen window I can see a golden Japanese maple whose branches are spilling over the edge of the patio wall. There is also a beautiful wooden arch that my husband built that is covered the large white flowers of Autumn Climatis. The kid's swing is swaying gently in the breeze and looking lonely without it's playmates.
Thank you for giving the great advice for my lace shrug over my dress that you left on my blog. I look out onto my little courtyard of potted plants with the occasional birdy visitor. My potted apple tree is my favourite to watch it change each season, it actually boretiny little rather sour apples this year! And beyond that, across the narrow little road that leads to just three more houses and is always empty of traffic, I see a field hedge and the tops of the maize in the field behind it. And further still a line of hedgerow trees that blaze orange in autumn, and froth with white blossom in summer.

But I have discovered, from various conversations I've had with my cousin's husband's family (he's from Arizona), that most Americans would probably imagine all this on a larger scale than is in fact the case.
