Lots of nice backroads to enjoy.

Yes...it fits! :)Mrs. Micawberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08680436275934263596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-366775845290776474.post-57167523977711489162011-06-13T12:06:41.748-05:002011-06-13T12:06:41.748-05:00Pretty funny! Love the carless factor! I'm sure you have cars out there, but how cool to ride where they don't often travel.

The flower shots are magnificent and make me want to go outside. And... I really should get a wildflower book (I've been saying that for years but relying on the Internet instead).Mrs. Micawberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08680436275934263596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-366775845290776474.post-75753928054717193512011-06-12T17:53:09.968-05:002011-06-12T17:53:09.968-05:00You're right about the "hawthorn", A...You're right about the "hawthorn", Ann...the bush didn't look right to me, and the flowers are smaller too. The other hawthorn I've seen - but only at a distance - had flowers distributed all over. But when I checked the close-up of this flower against a Google picture of hawthorn, they looked practically identical. So I assumed it was hawthorn. I'll have to find out what it really is.Mrs. Micawberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08680436275934263596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-366775845290776474.post-54039404107771733192011-06-12T17:15:45.636-05:002011-06-12T17:15:45.636-05:00Lots more lovely cycle ride photos! The difference I noticed most today is that you're on the wrong side of the road, haha!
I'm not entirely sure that plant is hawthorn, the individual flowers look similar but they don't tend to be grouped so much in a perfect round cluster and hawthorn leaves are much more divided. Does it have thorns? Is it a small tree?andamentohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15338225798888415276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-366775845290776474.post-54322820708031999462011-06-12T16:53:43.380-05:002011-06-12T16:53:43.380-05:00I believe the white flowers are yarrow in this pic...I believe the white flowers are yarrow in this picture. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MJA56SKkrSg/TfUgN_m8W8I/AAAAAAAABC8/i77ihAZDrGw/s320/Sunday+Ride+in+June+023.jpg The fluffy leaves look right. :) I recognize it because my mother has yellow yarrow in her garden, and the wild variation where I live has a lavender or pink tinge.Christinehttp://www.facebook.com/Moonyennoreply@blogger.com
