Announcing Live Online Classes for Live Loop Cables

A belated Happy New Year to you all! 2021 has certainly gotten off to a very rocky start, here and around the world. I hope and pray the year gets better for us all.

In happier news, this January and February I'll be teaching some live online classes for the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA).

Each class is 3 hours total, split over two Saturdays (1½ hours, two Saturdays in a row). The January class has sold out (!), but these February classes still have openings:

  • Intro to Live Loop Cables - Saturday February 6th and 13th, 1:30 to 3 pm Central Time. In this class, you'll learn: the basic categories of Live Loop (LL) cables, including straight, curved, rope, and crossed; ways to start and end cables; how to work LL cables in the round; how to read an LL cable chart; how to cross cables; cable frogging and repair; how to fix minor stitch count errors without frogging; how to choose the right yarn for LL cable projects; cable holder options; and tips for managing tension.
  • Live Loop Cables II - Saturday February 20th and 27th, 1:30 to 3 pm Central Time. Learn to work Live Loop (LL) cables in back and forth rows, then take your skills to the next level with advanced cable techniques including horizontal LL cables, branching cables, merged cables, continuous or ring cables, and raised cables. Class prerequisite: student must have completed Intro to Live Loop Cables class, or successfully completed a Live Loop cable project.
You don't need to be a CGOA member to sign up, but CGOA members do get a better price.
