Ah, have you seen the wonderful court metrage on the Monty Python film "The Meaning Of Life" where the leaf parents commit suicide? Oh, it's fabulous. It's worth looking for on Youtube if you don't know it.
Awesome. I can just picture some of them debating who goes first. And then the Colorado wind strikes, and they all go sailing, like giant golden snowflakes!
Hehe......Fall officially started at 10.49am on the last Saturday we were in NYC Sue. This seemed really odd to Rich and I.......we've never heard of a time given for the start of a season as here in Oz we go by the start of the month. Anyway, we stood at the window counting down and watching the trees way below us and imagined this very conversation between the leaves...... A wonderful season enjoy the colour.....
Simply beautiful.

Thank you, Meredith. Hugs to you. :)
DeleteGorgeous coloured leaves against the blue sky! Methinks the wind had something to say about who jumped first! Sandra
ReplyDeleteYes, the wind has been busy whirling them away last night and this morning. Sigh.

We just watched the movie again last year, but I'd forgotten that bit. Thanks, Stephanie! I will head over to You Tube and refresh my memory.

Happy Spring to you! I don't know how they pinpoint the start of a season - something to do with the sun I suppose. :)
