Did anyone fool you yesterday?
Mother Nature did her best (or do I mean worst?) here. The last day of March was beautifully warm - in the low 60s - then temperatures plummeted overnight and we woke to snow and freezing winds on the 1st. (Sometimes April really is the cruellest month.)
But let the cold bite. It can't hold back these tiny soldiers, vanguard of a grassy host:
Soon their brothers will come marching over the brown land and the world will be green once more.

What happens when a crocheter gets desperate for Spring?
She crochets flowers, of course. Pattern to follow soon.

Thank you all, so much, for your encouraging comments on my last post. They really brightened my week - which I am sorry to say was rather stressful, as my Dad went back to hospital (sigh) and needed another surgery to relieve fluid buildup in the brain.
When life gets overwhelming, I tend to hide away and mentally lick my wounds. I avoid the computer and bury myself in soothing, familiar books (Louisa May Alcott, L.M. Montgomery, the Narnia Chronicles - though now that Dad is out of danger, I have graduated to the gentle satire of Barbara Pym). Oh, and I eat a lot of carbohydrates and drink even more tea than usual.
How do you respond to stress?
