May I always be
able to ride ten miles
farther than my age

  1. Well, that's a good motto to go for!
I plan on walking the number of minutes a day which corresponds to my actual age, pushing it a bit when I'm not working! My walking consists of slower walking for photography purposes, power walks and Nordic Walking with poles. It's all fun, keeps my good mood singing and keeps me fit and healthy!
    Have a lovely weekend!

Is it/has it been your birthday?

Hope you have a lvely weekend, we're off to football this morning (joy of joys!) and if the weathers good we're going to coast path walk this afternoon to see a lighthouse, this time I will take my camera!

    1. 40 + 10 (years, not miles I mean - and I did ride 60 this year so I'm off the hook until next year).

      Thanks Penelope! :)

  4. Happy Birthday!

And you have no idea how young "half a century" sounds. Until you find your way at 3/4 of a century mark. :-)))))

Yikes! That's the first time that it has struck me... That 75 is 3/4 of a century. Mmmmmmm... This new thought may take some time, to get used to. -giggles-

  6. Adding my birthday wishes to everyone else. What a lovely way to mark a birthday. So proud of you and your bike riding. My Hubs rides but not as much as he would like with his job situation.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Hugs,
    Sharon

    1. Thank you Sharon! The photo is from my Labor Day ride (which happened to be a 50-miler, and very appropriate to the post title, now that I come to think of it).

      :)

  7. I'm not sure I could even drive my car 10 miles past my age, but it's an interesting thought.

    1. Yes, I was a self-indulgent sloth most of the weekend, and ate everything I like most. :)

      Thanks, Tammy.

  14. Happy birthday Sue! May the year ahead be full of joy, creativity, and long cycle rides. My father turns ninety today and my mother was eighty-one yesterday.

  15. I knew I saw a half century somewhere in my reader, but I had no connectivity over the weekend (DRATS!!!), so I couldn't remember for sure where I saw it.

Then, I find it, and I thought (and this is a HUGE compliment) you'd done 50 miles for your 40th birthday!!! :)

May you always look ten years younger! Or better!

    Happy birthday to you,
    Happy birthday to you,
    Happy birthday dear Su-ue,
Happy birthday to you! (and that last line was an octave higher - ha ha!)
