Look What the Mailman Brought!

I can still hardly believe it.

(Seeing the photos online was a kick, but this is an actual magazine. With pages you can turn. Please forgive my giddiness.) :)

A glimpse of the designer page from this issue:

It's very humbling to see one's name included in a list like that. I feel just like Garth in the presence of Alice Cooper....

Interweave Crochet Winter 2012 will be on newsstands December 18th.

~

P.S. The Two Roads Hat Version Two pattern will be up very soon - tonight or tomorrow morning. It's taking a bit longer than I thought it might to get words and photos in order. Thanks for your patience!

  2. Enjoying your giddiness and pleasure at seeing your name in print! Did you offer the mail-man a nice hot cuppa?! The pattern looks lovely and very chic on the model.

    1. Well, the postie drops the mail across the street so we rarely see him/her. But a cuppa is a nice thought.

      Thanks, Sandra. :)

    1. Well, they sent some extra covers so I'll probably do just that with one of them. :)

  4. You have every right to feel giddy, it is a truly beautiful thing. And, on the cover!

I don't suppose it will be on sale here though?

    1. I don't know, T-a. I should think Interweave publications are available somewhere on your side of the pond - the larger bookstores here carry UK magazines, so I'm assuming it works the other way round.

      Thanks! :)

  5. Is this a giant-sized December smile or what?!?! (Yes, it makes my Project Blizzard list for this month!!!)

So, so funny you linked to that video. In the mountain-climbing club I used to belong to, the guys would give "we're not worthies" to climbers who did spectacular things, and multiples if they were really proud of you. I, of course, never earned one until I failed to make it up Pikes Peak the second time, and one of the guys gave me ten "we're not worthies." Made me cry, just like it's doing again now...

    But happy, fun tears.

That was such a perfect video for what you must be feeling right now!!!

  19. Thanks, Lolly. We saw the magazine in Barnes & Noble this weekend and it gave me a VERY strange feeling to see my name in print there - much more so than in the courtesy copy. Very surreal! :)

  20. I didn't go looking for it until the 18th, and I got it that day. I'd have gone sooner had I known it was there, because I couldn't wait to touch it and hold it in my hands!!! Then I took it to work and showed it off to everyone and told them all, "That's my friend's cowl! She designed it, AND she made it! And it's on THE COVER!"

Did you feel the excitement rolling all the way up north???
