Thanks to all of you, just look how far this blog has come in two short years:
441 posts (this makes 442)In honour of all the wonderful people who have read, commented, encouraged, e-mailed, sent gifts, crocheted, questioned, crocheted some more, and generally brightened my days for these past two years, I am happy to announce...
5880 comments (granted, about half of them are mine)
814,456 pageviews at the time of writing (free crochet patterns are a big draw)
Why Red-Hot? Well, it's a cold, damp, grey day where I live, so anything warm is appealing right now.
AND I'm giving away a skein of this luscious, shimmering yarn in shades of magenta, orange, fuschia, and red - just perfect for a floaty scarf or neckwarmer...
Ritratto by S. Charles Collezione Colour "Poppy Field" |
...with three bars of chocolate in flavours that match and complement the fiery yarn...
Chocolove Chocolate made in Boulder, Colorado Chilies & Cherries in Dark Chocolate Milk Chocolate Raspberries in Dark Chocolate |
...and a hot-off-the-press - or simply hot - craft book (choose one):
Literary Knits, Nikol Lohr (knit) The Finer Edge, Kristin Omdahl (crochet) Clever Crocheted Accessories, Brett Bara editor (crochet) 400 Knitting Stitches, Potter Craft (knit) The New Tunisian Crochet, Dora Ohrenstein (crochet) The Granny Square Book, Margaret Hubert (crochet) Geek Chic Crochet, Nicki Trench (crochet) |
One lucky winner will scoop the lot: yarn, chocolate, and the book of her/his choice. How hot is that?

Wowee! Congratulations on all those big numbers, happy blogiversary (d'you know the iPad comes up with the weirdest suggestions when you try to write a word it doesn't like, generally the suggestion doesn't have any of the letters you've typed).
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered into your lovely giveaway...look at that yummy chocolate and blingy yarn (see just changed blingy to blobby) the book choices all look good, but I would choose the 400 hundred knitted stitches, imagine all the blankets!
Hi and congrats to you, your blog is really lovely! I would love each and every one of those books, but if I have to choose one - I'll go for the Tunisian crochet, as I have never tried it before and it could be a nice challenge. Keep on having fun with your blog!

I have been reading your blog but just became a follower. Congrats on your 2 year blogging stats. What an awesome giveaway. I would love to be entered. My passion is granny squares, so I would pick The Granny Square Book.
ReplyDeleteThank you,

I never enter these because I always feel so weird--I'm only a once a week blog person, so feel I'm more of a lurker really--but you've tempted me alright. I'd love the edging book.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your blog! I'm glad you're here brightening my day, making me laugh, and showing me side of the world so different from mine.
Happy blogiversary! I am a happy follower of your blog, and would love to enter your giveaway. I would pick the granny square book, being a huge granny square fan. Now I'm fantasizing about what a granny square would look like in that gorgeous yarn... Thanks for holding the giveaway! I will be putting the button on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for about a year....I am really fascinated with your patterns that have no starting chain, and have been trying to figure out if there is a "formula" for this technique!!! I'm a relatively newby to crochet...I just turned 70, but didn't learn to crochet until about 5 years ago. Congratulations on your anniversary and we hope there will be many more. I'd love the accessories book. megmoyle@att.net
ReplyDeleteHi there Sue, I won't enter the giveaway -- though the chillie and cherry chocolate sounds divine and that yarn looks luscious and I would love to have the Granny Square book. :) But Kuwait is way too far away and that chocolate would probably melt before it got here. Happy blogiversary. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
