Off to Colorado

It's Friday night. Tallulah and Iris and I are here in Colorado for our big ride. The months of training (and blogging about training) are over. Tomorrow and Sunday, Snowcatcher, the Lizard, and I will be hitting the road with thousands of others to ride in support of people with Multiple Sclerosis.

The other night I happened to mention Bike MS in an email to a blogging friend, and this was her reply:
"My older daughter was diagnosed with MS early last year. It's been a tremendous shock/blow to us all so anyone who does anything to promote it I am so behind. I'll certainly remember you and say a prayer for you to do well!"
What a timely reminder of why we're participating in this ride. Many thanks to this dear lady for her good wishes, and to all of you who have supported me with encouragement and donations. Will you go one step further, and say a prayer for this blogging friend and her daughter?

Thanks again. Next time I'll have some Bike MS photos! :)

  4. Yes, I will. I will say many prayers tonight when I go to bed..and even now I will hold them up for all who suffer and for all like you who are so dedicated and who have put so much forward to help. You, Sue and so many others deserve the prayers and support. May you race like the wind and may God be at your side. With love,
    Ellen.

  15. Safe ride. And thank you. My cousin had MS and ended up mainly confined to bed. It is a terrible disease. About 50 of us did the MS walk here in Chicago one year.
    Bike on!

  16. Praying that you are safe and resting and that MS healing breakthroughs will continue to multiple for your blogging friend's son and all those who are battling the disease.

An adult friend of mine developed MS in his 50s or 60s. His family prayed and researched. He changed his diet including regularly consuming olive ? oil and the doctors were amazed that his agressive form of MS stopped, and he has very little remaining damage. He is active and still working fulltime because he loves his job although he is 70+ years old. There is hope. :-) Thanks for putting your caring into action, Sue!

    xx,
    Gracie
