It's raining now (Thursday night). Dang. A lot of that snow will be washed away by the weekend, and then the mud will freeze when the temps go back down. Ah, winter! :)
Well! It's good to see somewhere in the world it really is winter. It was in the 60's here today and should be in the 70's for the weekend. :-( Not exactly my cup of tea.
We got rain last night - but supposed to get snow Saturday night - we'll see! At least we're getting moisture. Your picture and words, as usual, are beautiful.
We got rain too - it melted away most of our lovely snow and turned the driveway into mud. Now it's back to freezing weather. But you're right - it's moisture! :)
We've dipped into the high 30's at night and believe you me, these concrete buildings are COLD! And when I feel cold, I can't sleep. We don't have central heat so need to get a few more blankets out to put on the beds at night. Sending warm wishes your way for a wonderful weekend. Tammy
Wow, I had no idea it ever got that cold there. I can believe the concrete gets pretty chilly - a good reason to hang gorgeous rugs all over the walls. :)
Those waterlilies have the same dreams that I have!
ReplyDeleteUsually I'm dreaming of spring by now, but this year I want LOTS of snow to make up for last year's drought! :)
Deletewow! such a thick layer of snow! you must be dreaming of the spring too or do you enjoy winter?:)
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy winter - especially this year after such a long heat wave last year. :)
DeleteBrrrrr, that looks cold Sue.......here I am sitting in front of the fan!!
ReplyDeleteCLaire x
I still can't wrap my head around the fact that it's summer where you are.... :)
DeleteCold white sheets of soft white snow, so that the earth may sleep and rest before the flowers show!
ReplyDeleteNice, Sandra! :)
DeleteIt's beautiful. Pristina and undisturbed and I love the words you have used.... Thanks for this....I needed it! Joan
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! How are you, Joan? Doing well, I hope. :)
DeleteNow that is how winter should look, much better than the grey, rainy, muddy affair it is here this year!
ReplyDeleteI agree - about how winter should look. Too much rain is very dispiriting. :)
DeleteI love the look of snow, in pictures that is. Winter has left us for a while and it will be around 76 today.
ReplyDeleteYikes. You spoilt Southerners. :)
DeleteOhhh...How pretty! This is the kind of Winter I would love to see in person....something you will NEVER see here in Louisiana...lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteJust 7 inches of rain here in my neck of the woods in Louisiana,
DeleteGosh, Shari and Linda. I'll take the snow any day. :)
DeleteLovely words... Lovely word-picture... Lovely photo...
ReplyDeleteWho sezzzzzzzz that Winter has less beauty, than other seasons?!?
Not I! Beauty is all around, all year round. We only have to look for it. :)
DeleteYes, and there are little goats dreaming of sunny green springs too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll bet. But at least you can leap through the snow. I have to trudge. :)
DeleteOh I wish our winter looked like that. It's just grey and miserable.....pretty much the same as summer:)
ReplyDeleteRosie xx
Oh dear - I'm sorry. I always thought summer would be green and glowing in Ireland. Here's hoping you get some sunshine. :)
DeletePeaceful and tranquil, but brrrrrr!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're getting some brrrr this weekend, but only 20% chance of the peaceful and tranquil...
