What
I love
about the
first ride of spring
is feeling like I've
never been off the bike.
The weary months between rides
have passed (like the wind through my hair)
and all that matters is the thrum of
my tires on the beckoning, open road.

I no longer own a bike, and I think my poor arthritic feet might complain if I tried to ride one, so I am really envious of your freedom ... enjoy :D
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!
ReplyDeleteStill looks cold though...
Ohhhhh look at that moon pic!!!! What a Photo Op!!!
ReplyDeleteBut -snif- I'm just gonna' ignore the part about riding a bike. -pout- I don't think I ever really learned how, even when a kid. And I'd certainly *kill myself* now, if I tried it.
Reason for not doing much bike riding as a kid...? My parents tried to wrap-me-in-a-protective-bubble. I couldn't do this and I couldn't do that, etc. Never learned to swim either. Tooo much protection. Too little normal experiences. -sigh-
Gentle hugs,

Oh may I please *grab* your sidebar button about pledging to read the printed word? I'm one of those no-nooks-or-tablets-or-etc. people. NOT until I HAVE to use one.
ReplyDeleteI like to hold a book and turn the pages!!!!!!
Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"
What a cool moon shot! We'll probably be overcast when it's full... darn.
ReplyDeletePerfect essence of spring riding captured in that lovely verse. And the photos... You have ground! You have pavement! We still have white, with more today! But three consecutive days of 60s in the forecast. Please happen! Please happen! Please happen!
I love the feeling of the wind through my hair riding along with no place to go. I have been told no more riding because of my arthritic knees. I might just try it anyway.
ReplyDeleteAh! The shadow picture is back with wheels! Yay!
