To Bach on his Birthday (with gratitude)

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Dear
Johann
Sebastian,
You may be gone,
but your work still brings
beauty and order to
a dissonant world, joy to
heavy hearts, and clarity to
troubled minds. While music lives, your fame
shall live too, and your song will never die.

  1. I hadn't realised it was JSB's birthday- I shall go off to work humming favourite Bach Bits

will that make my journey a Bachanalia?

  2. How true...

And I didn't know it was his birthday, either. How nice. We share the month of March, as a birthday month. :-)

  6. That is a lovely note of gratitude. My music taste is very eclectic ... all depends on my mood at any given time. Your Sunday bike ride looks fantastic. And interesting information about lights. I don't like bright lights at any time. And hate it when, during the day, the kids and hubby think they have to turn on lights to go into the bathroom. Hello, there are windows in there -- natural light coming through. :/ By the way, the primal diet is the paleo -- it has different names. I am vegetarian so don't do meat, and certainly don't believe that legumes or grains can be bad for us. I do believe that we should all be eating what God has provided and not what man has made, so I don't buy a lot of packaged foods. Would much rather make it at home. At least I know what I am putting into it. :) Hope your day is a good one. Tammy
