(Note: The magazine giveaway is now closed, but the apron giveaway will remain open until August 28, 2016. See below for details.)
I'm very excited to be part of this issue, and even more excited to have a copy to give away. And just to spice things up, I'm holding a double giveaway. Read on for the details....
1. Vintage Crochet 2016 Giveaway (giveaway now closed)
You could win your very own copy of Vintage Crochet 2016, and a skein of lovely Malabrigo Silkpaca in Polar Morn (a pale silvery-grey with faint bluish undertones):
~ If you're a "No-Reply Blogger", or if your online profile does not include an email address, make sure there's a way for me to reach you.
~ If you can't leave a comment because you don't have an online profile, send me an e-mail (see my profile for the address) with "Vintage Crochet Giveaway" in the subject line.
Giveaway closes on: Sunday, August 14. The winner will be chosen by random number generator.
Magazine winner to be announced on: Monday, August 15.

2. Apron Give-Back-Away
Yes, I'm giving away the original Modern Afternoon Apron - the very same apron that appears in the magazine:
Left photo by Joe Coca for Vintage Crochet 2016, copyright F+W Media 2016. Right photo by me. :) |
But this Apron comes with some strings attached (really obvious apron pun). I'm happy to give this apron away, but I'd like you to give something back.
How to enter the Apron Give-Back-Away: Make a donation to Bike MS - ANY amount, big or small - on my Bike MS Washington fundraising page. (To donate, click here or on the blue "Bike MS" button near the top of the blog.)
Please note: this money isn't for me. All donations go straight towards services and research to help people with Multiple Sclerosis. I do have a fundraising goal to meet, and I'm excited about being part of this amazing bike ride. But even if something happens to keep me from riding, your donation will still be doing good work for people with MS.
How the winner will be chosen: You can make a donation to Bike MS at any time, but I'll choose a winner by random drawing from those who make donations from today, August 2, through Sunday, August 28.
Apron winner to be announced on: Monday, August 29.
~
You are welcome to enter both Giveaways! Just remember: comment for the magazine giveaway, donation for the apron giveaway. (Even a dollar will help the fight against MS, and every dollar counts. Yes, I'm shameless about asking for help in a good cause.)
Both giveaways are international. Good luck, and, as always, thank you for reading this.

ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Oh! I would LOVE to be in this drawing for this FANTASTIC issue of the Vintage Crochet Magazine! Please put my name in the hat!
ReplyDeleteThat is great that you will also give away the apron and you will get donations for MS too!
I am an avid fan of thread crochet, often using a size 14 hook....courtesy of my grandmother. I would love to be entered into the contest to receive a copy of Vintage Crochet 2016.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to throw my name in your hat for the Vintage Crochet magazine. I'd love to see your wonderful design showcased in the magazine and to say.. "I know her!". I have also donated to the MS Foundation, what a good cause, proud of you. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy to be joining in with this VINTAGE CROCHET giveaway! Was that loud enough? Good! Thank you for your generosity. (Having trouble posting this - trying again...)

Vintage Crochet isn't a magazine that I am familiar with, but it sounds and looks interesting and the yarn looks beautiful too! I hope that all goes really well with your fundraising, a very kind gesture and a worthwhile cause. xx
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win a copy of vintage crochet mag, it looks fab.

ReplyDeleteI am in awe of that yarn and the Vintage Crochet magazine. Thank you for allowing me enter the giveaway, what a treat! Have a great day and good luck with your fundraiser. I am off to look for where I can donate now.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet of you! I would love to win a copy of the Vintage Crochet mag - looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI have a few pieces of Vintage Crochet created by women who created them when they were new, not vintage! Pillowcases, doilies, table runners and a tablecloth. I crochet myself so I am fond of these pieces and want to create my own pieces. I am a left handed crocheter and although I sometimes have to read the right handed directions more than once, I have crocheted many items using regular yarn. This will be a new undertaking for me! I have not seen a copy of Vintage Crochet but hope to find one! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have never Crochet a Vintage Crochet pattern, so, I'd like to try it, I love this silvery-grey yarn
ReplyDeleteThank you for this giveaway
My kitchen is filled with pieces of Vintage Crochet from my mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I still use the potholders, but the delicate tea towels and aprons I keep safely tucked away for my daughter.
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in the drawing for Vintage Crochet. I am a regular reader but rarely comment. I've made several things from your blog and have learned some new-to-me techniques. I appreciate your time and effort. Is Tallulah going to WA with you?
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a copy of Vintage Crochet. I have only been crocheting for two years, so I am always looking for new projects to expand what I can do. :)
ReplyDeleteVintage crochet is something I'd really love to try. There are so many treasures hidden in the past...
ReplyDeleteI would love to have the magazine. I've been doing vintage crochet most of my life. Hooks that I bought years ago were 10 cents apiece!
ReplyDeleteI love the concept of Vintage Crochet and would love to have a copy of the magazine.
ReplyDeleteHi there, I still have my schoolbook from 1969. If I follow a pattern in it, does this qualify as vintage crochet or vintage knitting? ;-) All the best, Regula
ReplyDeleteWhat a kind giveaway, thanks a lot!! I'm happy to try my luck because I love vintage crochet works a lot and unfortunately the "Vintage Crochet" magazine is not to find in my country. Oh and the cozy yarn! What a wonderful color, looks like a quiet winter morning. So please count me in, thanks!! Greetings & a good week, Nata xxx
ReplyDeleteI would love to some exploring into vintage crochet patterns and ideas, and the magazine looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for the opportunity, and for your wonderful blog. I came for the crochet, which is fab, but I love your cyclelogues and wildflower photos just as much.
ReplyDeleteVintage Crochet is some of my favorite type of crochet, especially thread like doilies, lace trims, bookmarks--anything made in thread! But I like vintage yarn stuff too :-)
ReplyDeletelove your "who am I" profile to the left --funny!
ReplyDeleteMy Grandmother who taught me to crochet, died in her sleep 5 years ago at the age of 94. Everything she did was "vintage crochet", although she wasn't much interested in doilies, she loved making everyone blankets from granny squares and she liked making "magic" potholders. I had a dream about her just the other night where we were looking at crochet dresses together and laughing (because it was a dream and they were strange looking with crochet pillows on the shoulders). I miss her.
ReplyDeleteHey Sue!
ReplyDeleteI hope that my donation went through okay, it looks like it did! Would love to win the apron or "pinny" as my mother in law would call it! :-)
