No time to bake, so savoury was the way to go. Potatoes diced, oiled and spiced, and into the oven. A step out the front door for parsley to garnish the potatoes...
Where's the basil? |
...AND basil and yellow grape tomatoes, to go with a remnant of feta from the fridge....
Dandy omelette filling |
To the freezer for sausages from an award-winning butcher a few towns over, and back to the fridge for mushrooms from, alas! not the field, but the grocery store....
Soon to be sautéed and nutmeg'd and parsley'd |
And before you know it, a bang-up breakfast was on the table.
Mmmmm. Now tomorrow, I DO have the day off. What to make, what to make....

That's what we say here. Thank god we are on vacation, now it's time to work.
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast looks delicious. Those sausages ...
Yummy!
ReplyDeleteWhat to make... just try and top this. Just try! I dare ya!
ReplyDeletePS: And anxious to see if you succeed!!!
ReplyDeleteAs it turns out, I made cinnamon-raisin-oatmeal scones, and scrambled eggs topped with cheese and salsa. Tasty, but not photo-worthy.
ReplyDeleteYum. I really want to come round to yours for breakfast!
