This
weather
is too nice -
which leads me to
suspect some wintry
horror lurking round the
bend: some blizzardry of ice
to darken March and April; some
misery of damp through May and June.
Why can't I just enjoy the sun today?

For Lolly, on whose poetry blog I first encountered this verse form

That weather is certainly tricksy this year! :)
ReplyDeleteMy first thought, before I even read the words, was wow, she made half a tree! Then to find out it's a form of verse... I feel like I've gone back to school!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you tried this. You did well. And now you've got my brains spinning; I want to try it too. But I have a difficult time with NOT rhyming. So I'm thinking the twin might be the challenge for me. :)
Oh, how fun. What a lovely poem.
ReplyDeleteJust enjoy!
ReplyDeleteVery cool form, and well done!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant poem :D I hear what you're saying, but hey, if you get rain or snow later at least you got sun now!
ReplyDeleteI
ReplyDeletelove this
very much.
Seriously,
consider making
a sister blog or page
to store your poetic works
I would definitely visit
such a site quite regularly
and so would so many other people.
