A
frosty
November
morning. The sun
opens a sleepy
eye to peep from under
fleecy rose-flecked blankets at
the waking day - then promptly pulls
the covers back up over his head.
(Oh how I wish that luxury were mine!)

It wasn't mine this morning either, up late watching the election and up early 5:20, to get youngest up for school.Yuck!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Meredith
And the sun stayed in bed the entire day. At least I got to see the colourful bit!

Yes, I did, and it was wonderful. Cold weather makes me really appreciate those warm blankets. :)
DeleteI've been so absent from the blogging world I'd forgotten about this poetry form. As usual, you do it beautifully - your words are a perfect match for the picture and evoke a whole world of emotion.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ginnie. :)
